JOB SUMMARY:
Provide safe and timely transport of materials and containers to and from multiple operations throughout the facility, maintain orderly work environment including both inside and outside of facility.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Production Floor Line Setting
Keep all secondary operations supplied with parts to ensure continuous production.
Ensure proper tagging is present before transporting parts from one area to another.
Responsible to keep all in-process items in an orderly manner with easy accessibility.
Responsible to ensure outside pallet and container storage is neat and orderly.
Maintain excellent housekeeping standards both inside and outside building.
Dispose of trash and scrap material as needed to ensure continuous production.
Provide notification to Materials of suspiciously low stock levels.
Check forklift daily ensure operation safety – Report any findings to Supervisor
Place finished material in proper storage locations, following weigh scale when required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Must successfully complete and pass a written and driving test to obtain forklift permit.
Must successfully complete and pass a written and driving test to obtain crane permit (Steel Receiving).
Previous driving experience of 2 to 5 years previous experience in manufacturing environment, preferably in metal stamping.
Basic computer skills. Experience with Plex preferred.
